Date:

Fox News has announced plans to make sweeping changes to its weekend programming lineup, with expanded roles for the likes of Tomi Lahren, Peter Doocy, Jacqui Heinrich, Johnny Joey Jones, and Kayleigh McEnany, among others.

Beginning on Saturday, September 20th, Griff Jenkins will join FOX & Friends Weekend alongside Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt. Jenkins is no stranger to the network, having joined in 2003. He most recently has served as a national correspondent for Fox News.

Kayleigh McEnany will launch her own program — Saturday in America — on that same day. The show will be featured from 10 AM to Noon ET.

There are also changes coming to the Sunday lineup at Fox News. The Sunday Briefing will debut on Sunday, September 21st. The program will air from 11 AM to Noon ET. It will be hosted by senior White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich on a rotating basis.

“As we expand and innovate our weekend programming, we are proud to bring our audience unrivaled depth and expertise,” Fox News Media President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace said of the moves. “This new dynamic roster underscores our continued commitment to delivering incomparable coverage, reinforcing FOX News Media as the leader in both news and opinion content.”

The addition of the show means that the Sunday, September 14th episode of Media Buzz will be the final show for Howard Kurtz. Kurtz has hosted the show for 12 years in the 11 AM-Noon ET window. As his show ends, he’ll shift to a role as a political media analyst for Fox News, as well as hosting a podcast from Fox News Audio.

“I’m extraordinarily proud of the program, which was number one for over 12 years and built a loyal audience that liked our down-the-middle approach of contrasting viewpoints and tackling sensitive subjects, with great independence, but time marches on,” said Kurtz.

“For more than a decade, Howie Kurtz has served as the lead authority for media coverage in cable news, and we look forward to continuing his smart analysis across our programming,” added Wallace.

Additionally, Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones have been announced as two of the four co-hosts of The Big Weekend Show, which will expand to now cover three hours from 5-8 PM ET on both Saturdays and Sundays. The duo will be joined by a rotating group of panelists each week,

  1. I noticed that Life, Liberty, and Levin is not on for Saturday, the 20th and Sunday, the 21st. Is this permanent? I love his show.
