Pat McNally, a longtime radio sales executive and leader, has died.
What We Know: McNally died on Thursday, May 7th. During his tenure in the business, he worked at W4 in Detroit as General Sales Manager. His tenure coincided with the likes of Steve Dahl, Howard Stern, Mark McEwen, and Sky Daniels, among others. He later joined WAVA in Washington, D.C., and WAPP in New York City. He joined Live 105 in San Francisco under Entercom ownership before concluding his career in Phoenix.
What Remains Unclear: McNally’s official cause of death hasn’t been announced. He had faced several health challenges in the past few years after retiring to Florida.
What It Means: Many in the industry are mourning the loss of McNally. He was well-respected by his colleagues and those who worked under him during his time as a general sales manager in the industry.
