The Green Bay Packers are keeping their Milwaukee radio home. iHeartMedia’s 95.7 BIG FM has signed on for several more seasons as the team’s flagship station.
What We Know: The Packers and iHeartMedia’s 95.7 BIG FM signed a multi-year extension. The station stays on as Milwaukee’s flagship, airing Packers Preview, play-by-play from Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren, plus postgame shows. Larrivee and McCarren enter year 28 together. Packers coverage on 95.7 BIG FM will also be simulcast on Fox Sports 920 in Milwaukee, as well as 101.5 WIBA FM and 1310 WIBA AM in Madison and Z100 in Eau Claire. Notably, 95.7 BIG FM stepped in as flagship last season after 97.3 The Game folded mid-season.
What They Said: Craig Benzel, Green Bay Packers chief sales and business development officer: “We’re excited to extend our partnership with iHeartMedia. Through this collaboration and iHeart’s platforms, we’re able to bring Packers football to fans around Wisconsin and across the country. We look forward to building on this shared success and connecting with more fans through the Packers Radio Network.”
Tim Feagan, Regional President for iHeartMedia Grand Rapids / Muskegon / Milwaukee / Madison: “Packers football is such an important part of the culture here in Wisconsin. We’re thrilled to continue giving fans a front-row seat to all the action. From the excitement leading up to kickoff through the final play and postgame analysis. 95.7 BIG FM is proud to continue serving as the Milwaukee home for Packers football.”
What Remains Unclear: The release doesn’t disclose financial terms. It’s also unclear whether new affiliates could join the network later.
What It Means: The renewal brings stability after last year’s mid-season scramble. Losing 97.3 The Game mid-season threatened to disrupt coverage, but 95.7 BIG FM filled the gap and earned an extension in the process. Now that continuity extends for several more years. Moreover, for iHeartMedia, the deal strengthens its grip on Wisconsin’s biggest sports audience.
