Northwest Newsradio is reshuffling its weekday lineup, adding Bloomberg Radio programming and The Ramsey Show. Scott Carty will move to afternoon drive alongside Aaron Wright as part of the changes.
What We Know: Northwest Newsradio, owned by Lotus Communications in Seattle, will add two one-hour Bloomberg Radio programs from 10 AM to Noon. Balance of Power and Businessweek Daily will replace part of Carty’s current 10 AM to 2 PM anchor shift. From Noon to 2 PM, The Ramsey Show featuring Dave Ramsey will join the lineup.
Meanwhile, Carty will move to afternoons with Wright from 2-6 PM. The station is also cutting one hour from its afternoon program, which previously ran through 7 PM. Afterward, Northwest Newsradio will carry Bloomberg Radio programming from 7 PM to 3 AM. The station previously paired Wright with Marina Rockinger in afternoon drive.
What They Said: “Wanted to let you know about a little bit of a change in my world. You will no longer be hearing me on Northwest News Radio from 10 AM to 2 PM. That is because we’ve had some cuts and adjustments and some programming changes, and I am going to move to the afternoon show. So I’ll be on 2 to 6 PM for your drive home … I’m looking forward to it.” -Scott Carty
What Remains Unclear: Rockinger’s status with Northwest Newsradio remains unclear following the lineup shuffle. Her biographical information has been removed from the station’s website following the announcement.
What It Means: The changes give Northwest Newsradio a greater mix of nationally syndicated and business-focused programming during the day. At the same time, Carty will remain in the weekday lineup while taking on a new afternoon role with Wright. The move also marks a significant shift from the station’s 2025 lineup, when Northwest Newsradio introduced Wright and Rockinger as its afternoon team.
