Hubbard | Media That Connects has a new title at the top of its podcast business. John Goforth is now President of Gamut Podcast Network, effective immediately.
What We Know: Goforth has led Gamut since 2024 and will continue overseeing content, sales, and growth strategy. The new title puts Gamut alongside Hubbard’s other media and entertainment companies. Gamut’s revenue has grown 47% over the past two years. The network now spans more than 250 national and local shows. Flagship franchises include American Nightmares and Professor of Rock. Gamut also runs local sports networks SKOR North and 312 Sports.
What They Said: “John has been leading Gamut since the day he walked in the door, and we’ve watched him turn it into something everyone at Hubbard is proud of. He understands this business from the creator’s side and the sales side, and he genuinely cares about the people making these shows. Naming him President is our way of recognizing that, and of letting the industry know how much we believe in where Gamut is headed under John’s leadership.” — Ginny Hubbard, CEO of Hubbard | Media That Connects
“I’ve been doing this for more than a decade, and the questions change every couple of years. YouTube, video, what even counts as a podcast anymore. Our creators don’t have to guess at the answers. Wherever their audience goes, we help them get there and ensure they make money along the way.” — John Goforth, President of Gamut Podcast Network
What Remains Unclear: The announcement doesn’t say how Goforth’s day-to-day role changes. It also doesn’t outline any immediate staffing moves though the company continues to add content to its portfolio.
What It Means: The promotion rewards two years of growth with a new title, putting Gamut on equal footing with Hubbard’s other companies. Goforth brings sales pedigree from Magellan AI, HowStuffWorks, iHeartMedia, and Midroll Media. His knowledge and experience are rewarding Hubbard’s faith in trusting him to guide Gamut through audio consumption and advertising changes.
