A second batch of Buzz Knight podcast conversations is headed to Cleveland. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archives added new episodes to its permanent collection.
What We Know: The donation adds new Takin’ A Walk and Music Saved Me episodes, building on a first donation in 2024. Knight’s Takin’ A Walk lineup includes Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, David Duchovny, Lukas Graham, Nigel Dick, and Chuck Nowlin. It also features AdLeen Rose, with Tina Rose and Amy Nelson, daughters of Leon Russell and Willie Nelson, respectively. Meanwhile, Lynn Hoffman’s Music Saved Me contributed episodes with Ben Kweller and Reimagine founder Brad Wolfe.
What They Said: Buzz Knight: “Every one of these conversations captures an artist reflecting on the moments that shaped them — the risks, the breakthroughs, the songs that mattered. To have them preserved permanently at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, alongside the history of the music itself, is something I don’t take for granted. This one means as much to me as the first donation did.”
What Remains Unclear: However, the announcement didn’t say how many episodes made the second batch. There’s also no known timeline for when the new material becomes available to researchers.
What It Means: Ultimately, the archive gives these conversations a permanent home. According to BKMP, it preserves audio interviews and transcripts tracing artists’ personal and professional journeys. That record spans rock, pop, country, and indie music. As a result, researchers, historians, and fans can revisit those stories long after they first aired.
