NFL executives are reportedly trying to determine how to go about replacing McCourty, reportedly considering former NFL players Manti Te’o and Akbar Gbajabiamila for the role.
The report states that Warner Bros. Discovery was granted a chance to commit around $2.2 billion per year for a deal with the league but walked away because of disdain for “the price relative to the value of the package.”
This agreement would replace the existing deal between Diamond Sports Group and Bally’s Corporation, which is expected to expire upon the conclusion of the Major League Baseball season.
