ABC News' World News Tonight has continually dominated the evening network newscast space. That didn't change at the conclusion of May.

The network has earned the top spot in YouTube views in each of the first five months of 2026.

Big winners on the night included ABC News (8 awards) and National Geographic (7 awards).

For the seventh consecutive Sunday, the program grew its total viewer audience year over year — up 3% compared to last year.

An Audacy spokesperson confirmed to Barrett Media that all stations will be airing ABC News by Saturday morning.

World News Tonight aired live from China on Monday through Thursday last week.

D'Amaro's one-app vision is worth pursuing. Simplicity wins in the streaming wars more often than complexity does. But Disney would be wise to ask whether forcing ABC News into that ecosystem serves the news division — or quietly diminishes it.

It marked the 8th straight week of overall ratings growth for the David Muir-led program.

The win in the total viewer category for This Week marked the program's longest run in the top spot since a June-to-early-September run in 2023.

The two companies have also partnered to bring ABC News programming to SiriusXM's P.O.T.U.S. station on channel 124.
