Mitch Holthus claimed he had not missed a Chiefs broadcast in 30 years -- calling more than 500 consecutive games for the team.

The longtime top 40 station switched to sports in 1999, and held a banquet celebrating the milestone brought former Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, as well as current and former Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas State Wildcats to the city.
