Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has told others he believes NBCUniversal is overpaying for the NBA based on their research.

"We just won the [Sports Emmy for] ‘Best Studio Show’ – but these fools turn us from Inglenook and Opus into damn Boone’s Farm and Ripple. It’s crazy.”

Final changes are believed to be taking place in the coming days or the week with deals then having to be ratified by respective boards.

The report states that no official offers have been finalized at the moment, hence the lack of having to match an offer.

Both the NBA and Warner Bros. Discovery are reportedly researching to see if the league can reject a matching bid.
