McAfee, who is the current color commentator for WWE's Friday Night program, SmackDown, tweeted a goodbye message.

McAfee has been an analyst for Friday Night SmackDown on FOX since April 2021 alongside play-by-play commentator Michael Cole.

"The company and the network spent much of Friday afternoon promoting that McMahon would appear during the show's opening segment in character."
