Dan Bernstein, Laurence Holmes Team Up as 670 The Score Tweaks Weekday Lineup

Two midday shows are set to become one in Chicago. 670 The Score will pair Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes for a new show beginning June 20.

“I’ve been mostly a solo host for the last 15 years, and now I’m looking forward to working with Dan,” Holmes said in a press release. “We’ve got a great opportunity to challenge each other and have a lot of fun.”

Bernstein & Holmes will run weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm. NBC 5 sports anchor Leila Rahimi will continue to make appearances on the show every Wednesday.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this show,” added Bernstein. “Laurence and I have worked closely together at The Score going back to our days on Belmont Avenue, and this new partnership promises to bring out the very best of what we do.”

The new midday show is just one of the changes coming to the 670 The Score lineup. Mully & Haugh gains an extra hour as well. The station’s morning show will now run from 6 am until 10 am.

“Our all-star Chicago lineup improves with Mully and Haugh extending later into the morning and two teammates who have worked together for 20-plus years finally sharing a microphone on a regular basis,” said Mitch Rosen, Operations Director and Brand Manager, 670 The Score. “We couldn’t be more excited for this updated lineup.”

  1. So both are failing miserably in ratings on their own with the hope putting two ratings losers together will suddenly bring in listeners? Maybe Mitch Rosen is the one who should get let go. These two together will be an ego fest like few others in town..both pompous, smartest ones in the rooms types. This will not work out. Producer Rick Camp is out because of this too? Bad mistake–no wonder Executive Jay Zawaski bailed out months ago. Sorry, Laurence will be babbling on about Super Heroes, being a Gamer and his home in Arizona, and Dan will have to interrupt him to tell another “my kid plays hockey” story, or his wifes wedding planning business and his latest designer gourmet meal. B-O-R-I-N-G..self serving, humble bragging outloud by both and now will have to talk over each other. Both poor active listeners, agenda pushers and so far left politically it should take the Chicago Progressive Talk Radio Stations call sign, the SCORES original 820AM. Dont believe me, go look up Dan Bernsteins Twitter timeline–disgustingly one sided Lefty Looney. That has infested all of Sports talk now at the SCORE. NO balanced or diversified views allowed there. Makes for BORING radio fellas.
