Shaun Morash: ‘I Could Do Several Sports Better Than Boomer Esiason’

Boomer Esiason said Shaun Morash looks “like a pear” Wednesday, which the CBS Sports Radio producer took great offense to before claiming there are several sports he could beat Boomer at.

During Boomer & Gio Thursday, WFAN update anchor Chris Lopresti played a clip of Morash’s statements.

“How dare Boomer, honestly,” Morash said during The DA Show Thursday morning.

“The guy was a former NFL MVP!”, Damon Amendolara shouted.

“What, 30 years ago?”, Morash countered. “I guarantee you today I could do several sports better than Boomer Esiason and a lot of that has to do with age. Basketball, I could be better at than him. If we played one-on-one hockey with a goalie I could definitely be better than him.”

“(Boomer) plays actual hockey on skates. Not an annual deck hockey celebrity tournament,” said CBS Sports Radio update anchor Andrew Bogusch.

“I know several people in his league that say he’s not very good,” Morash continued. “You wanna say he could still sling it at quarterback? Ok, fine, but I’d be a smoother route runner.”

Morash then admitted Esiason would beat him in golf, but said he moves well to beat Esiason at tennis, roller hockey, and softball.

“Listen, if you looked like a pear, you’d have to take some shots, too,” Esiason said after the clip ended.

After Lopresti said it was a “weird hill to die on”, co-host Gregg Giannotti quipped “he’s died on so many hills, that Shaun Morash. His body is all over the place.”

“What he doesn’t realize is I love the kid,” Esiason concluded while speaking about Morash. “I think he’s talented and he’s funny and I think he’s opinionated and I like that.”
