Syndicated radio host and author Todd Starnes believes CNN is moving Don Lemon to mornings because he’s failing to produce ratings on his nightly show.
During his “ToddCast” podcast Friday, Starnes sounded off about the left-wing pundit’s move to CNN’s new morning show.
“Some bad news for little Donnie Lemon,” said Starnes. “Lemon lost his nighttime gig because nobody was watching.”
Last week, Lemon addressed critics who believe that his new job is a demotion.
“I was presented with an opportunity that I can’t pass up on this network,” Lemon said. “And we have a new boss who is a morning show impresario, and he wants a morning show that will kick off the editorial direction of the network every single day.”
Lemon added that he was honored to be asked to co-host the show which will include Poppy Harlow and Kaitlin Collins.
“Don Lemon is one of the girls now on the morning show there at CNN,” added Starnes “
Lemon said any speculation that management is making this move amid poor ratings is simply “fodder for Twitter.”
