Jamie Lynch is no longer with 97.5 the Fanatic.
Lynch, the former co-host of The John Kincade Show, was packed and ready to go to Arizona to be with the program as the show was broadcasting on the road ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles game against the Arizona Cardinals. He even tweeted his excitement on Thursday morning. However, by Friday, he was not on the show.
Kevin Kinkhead of Crossing Broad was the first to report Lynch was out late Thursday evening. Since, the Philadelphia Inquirer has quoted sources attributing the dismissal as a result of budget cuts with Beasley Media Group.
Kincade did bring up Lynch and his absence on Friday’s show saying, “You will notice that Jamie is not here. I can only say that we miss Jamie because a situation like this is when Jamie is of the greatest joy… if you miss Jamie this morning, you can only imagine how much we do. I don’t know how much more to say. I’m not at liberty to say. But we miss him and we wish he was here with us.”
Co-host Bob Cooney added to the sentiment. “It sucks… I’ve been in this business a long, long time and yesterday was the worst day ever. I know people are looking for things, there isn’t more to it than it just sucks. We’ll all know more in the coming days. A huge part of this show is gone and we can’t sit here and act like its not. We’ll carry on and hopefully you’ll carry on with us and we’ll do the best we can.”
Kincade finished the above clip with a heartfelt sentiment.
“We all love Jamie and we can say that unequivocally.”
