iHeartMedia Atlanta President Drew Lauter is “no longer with the company” after a video of him repeatedly using racial slurs was released.
According to a report from WSB-TV, an iHeartMedia spokesperson confirmed the news saying “allegations of this nature go against our company values and our policies and we take them very seriously”. The spokesperson also confirmed Lauter said “the n-word”.
Jason Castle, an attorney for the employee who captured the video in August of 2021, says Lautner used the word “in the presence of four executive employees, one of whom happened to be black”.
Before taking over as President of the Atlanta market for iHeartMedia, Lautner previously served as the Market President for the company’s Madison, WI cluster.
iHeartMedia’s Atlanta cluster includes Atlanta’s Black Information Network WBIN 640 AM.
