Omaha Productions Expanding ‘Places’ Franchise Outside of Sports

Omaha Productions has seen its partnership with ESPN continue to grow. It’s “Places” franchise is growing, as well, as Peyton Manning has revealed the franchise will expand to avenues outside of sports.

In an interview with Axios, Manning, founder of Omaha Productions, said the popular franchise will add shows who “have walked the walk”, including Luke Bryan, LL Cool J, and Admiral William McRaven.

The “Places” concept began with the Peyton’s Places, as the former NFL quarterback visits some of football’s most famous sites, and interviews football’s biggest newsmakers and its most interesting figures. The show then expanded to feature a show with his brother, Eli, called Eli’s Places. The portfolio now includes shows with Abby Wombach, Vince Carter, Ronda Rousey, and David Ortiz using the Places moniker.

“The best thing about Omaha is helping other people tell stories,” says Manning. “I’m proud of Peyton’s Places, but I’m even prouder of shows like ‘Abby’s Places’ that give other athletes a voice.”

Manning did not mention whether the new shows with Bryan, LL Cool J, and McRaven would air on a new network or would continue to be offered on ESPN+.

It’s the latest in a wide ranging expansion for the production company. In September, the NFL announced it had partnered with Omaha Productions to re-shape the league’s Pro Bowl week.

Season three of Peyton’s Places is slated to premiere on ESPN+ on Sunday.
