Are you streaking kidding me? KCMO Talk Radio host and Program Director Pete Mundo was forced to do a naked lap around his building Thursday after losing an election day bet.
“One of the most humbling moments of my career,” Mundo wrote jokingly.
In October, Mundo said on the air that if Congressional Democrat incumbent Sharice Davids won by double digits, he would do a naked lap around the area where KCMO is located known as Corporate Woods.
Kansas’ Third Congressional district is a classic swing district and was the most-watched district in the KC Metro this election cycle with Sharice Davids squaring off against Republican challenger Amanda Adkins.
“There was a NY Times poll that showed Sharice Davids leading by 14 points, despite other polls showing it to be a very close race,” Mundo told Barrett News Media. “She won by 10 points two years ago, there was no way in a year that was supposed to be good for Republicans she would win by the same, or a greater, margin. No way!”
During the lap, Mundo was flanked by producer Mark Van Sickle. A video shows Mundo streaking around his office park, holding a Sharice Davids campaign sign. Mundo did encounter a spectator, he quickly explained that he was fulfilling a bet.
“I paid off my bet because I am a man of my word. I was totally nude,” Mundo added.
