Candace Owens: Twitter Files Prove I’m Not A Conspiracy Theorist

The Twitter Files continue to be a hot-button issue in conservative media circles, as more and more purported documentation shows the social media platform worked in conjunction with the FBI to suppress negative tweets about now-President Joe Biden during the 2020 Presidential campaign. During a podcast interview with Charlie Kirk, conservative commentor Candace Owens says the files prove she’s not a conspiracy theorist.

Last week, the FBI claimed that journalists releasing details of the Twitter Files showed “nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements”, adding that “conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.” Owens took issue with being called a conspiracy theorist for her long held beliefs.

“We already knew it. I’m glad we got more specific. ‘Charlie Kirk’, yeah we figured that one. ‘Candace Owens’, we’re all on the list,” Owens said. “We know this, we’ve been saying it for years. It’s nice to have the world have to acknowledge it and stop pretending that we’re conspiracy theorists. They say the difference between the truth and a conspiracy is give it six weeks. It’s honestly it’s about five minutes these days, but it’s nice to have to have the press acknowledge it wasn’t just existing in our own heads, but there wasn’t anything I was surprised about.”

Owens added she’s looking forward to the “Fauci Files” to see how Dr. Anthony Fauci worked with social media companies after Elon Musk — now owner of the social media platform — tweeted that his “pronounce are Prosecute/Fauci”.
