Skyview Networks Outage Expected to Continue Through End of Week

After a major cyberattack Monday, Skyview Networks has alerted affiliates that the disruption of its distribution will continue through the end of this week.

Skyview has been unable to distribute CBS World News Roundup newscasts after the attack. In response, it has hired “industry-leading forensic experts” to help contain and investigate the attack.

“This has affected a number of Skyview Networks programming and advertisement delivery programs,” the company as it updated affiliates on the incident. “We expect continued disruption to select systems through the end of the week. Through the experience, we will continue to work directly with clients to address specific needs and solutions.”

Skyview has told affiliates it is working around the clock to rectify the issue.

“We apologize for the disruption that this has caused, and our teams and partners are working diligently to swiftly and securely return systems to normal,” the company said.

Details about the cyberattack remain sparse, with Skyview Networks saying the security of their network is of the utmost priority.

“Our highest priority is the security and protection of all data and we are cooperating with authorities on this matter. As a result, we are limited in the amount of additional detail we can provide.”
