Angelo Cataldi Set To Sign Off WIP On Friday

The end of the Angelo Cataldi era at WIP in Philadelphia is coming on Friday, February 17.

The Philadelphia Inquirer confirmed reporting from the Philadelphia Business Journal on Tuesday that Cataldi, 71, will call it career at the end of the week.

In October, Angelo Cataldi said he would call it quits at the conclusion of the Eagles’ 2022 season. That conclusion came on Sunday in Super Bowl LVII.

Listeners tuning in for the final Cataldi broadcast can expect to hear from plenty of old favorites in addition to a career retrospective on one of the top sports radio voices in Philadelphia history.

Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie are set to take over the morning show at WIP following Cataldi’s departure. A new midday show featuring Joe Giglio and former Eagle Hugh Douglas will also launch.
