The Broadcasters Foundation of America Leadership Awards for this year will recognize Rush Limbaugh’s remarkable career contributions to the broadcast industry. Limbaugh’s widow, Kathryn, will accept the award on his behalf.
Other award recipients include Jim Doyle, the founder of JDA Media; Steven Lanzano, who currently holds the position of President at the Television Bureau of Advertising; Debra O’Connell, President of Networks at The Walt Disney Company; Deborah Parenti, who is the President and Publisher of Radio Ink/RBR+TVBR; and Heidi Raphael, the Chief Communications Officer at Beasley Media Group.
The ceremony will occur during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show at the Broadcasters Foundation Annual Breakfast in the Bandol Two room at Wynn Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 19. The ceremony starts at 7:00 a.m. The Breakfast will include the presentation of the Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award, and information regarding the award recipient will be revealed soon.
The Broadcaster’s Foundation has assisted numerous broadcasters who have suffered catastrophic events, debilitating illnesses, or unforeseen tragedies by providing millions of dollars in aid. Individuals can make donations to the Foundation’s Guardian Fund. Donations from businesses can be received via the Angel Initiative.
