Pablo Torre Departing ESPN for Meadowlark Media

ESPN host Pablo Torre is exiting the company to join Meadowlark Media.

It will be a reunion of sorts for Torre, who will join the company founded by former ESPN chairman John Skipper and former ESPN host Dan Le Batard.

However, Torre is expected to remain a panelist on Around The Horn and a contributor to Pardon The Interruption, according to a report from Variety.

“They are looking to build another show directly out of ‘The Dan LeBatard Show,’ which is a monster,” Torre said, adding that having the ability to both audio and video at the company will allow him to “tell original stories, do a bit of journalism and figure out how to make that show a home that can fit all of the things I aspire to do creatively.”

Torre has hosted more than 700 podcast episodes for ESPN Daily but claimed an offer from Meadowlark that included what Variety called “a small equity stake” in the company was too good to pass up.

“Very few people his age have his range and his resume,” Le Batard said. “I’m honored and moved that he follows his heart to help us build something excellent.”
