Dan Le Batard wanted to hire Domonique Foxworth to an executive level job at Meadowlark Media.
Foxworth appeared on The Dan Le Batard Show on Thursday, and Dan brought up the fact that he wanted to put the ESPN host and commentator in the c-suite.
“I don’t want to handle money. I don’t want to have anything to do with the money and the business of Meadowlark Media,” Le Batard said. “I hate it, and I wanted Domonique to be our COO. And he told me that he would not be.”
Le Batard thought there was a good shot they would’ve been able to hire Foxworth at Meadowlark. But Domonique shared one simple reason why he wasn’t going to take the job.
“You are friends and family with the people that I was gonna fire. It’s plain and simple,” Foxworth said. “It’s not that it’s specific people. But it’s like you’re trying to run a business or you’re trying to have a family.”
Foxworth just thought it wasn’t a good fit with all that in mind.
