CNN has announced the addition of attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo as a new on-air legal analyst for the network.
Agnifilo served as the Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office under the direction of former Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr., who departed the office in 2021. As the Chief Assistant District Attorney, Agnifilo was the Acting District Attorney while Vance was out of the jurisdiction.
She worked in the office for 14 years, including four years as the Deputy Chief of the Sex Crimes Unit. She also worked in the Homicide Investigation Unit, the Asian Gang Unit, and the Family Violence and Child Abuse Bureau.
The addition of Agnifilo by CNN comes as all eyes in the news media landscape turn toward the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Current Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has charged former President Donald Trump with 34 felonies.
