Sports Media Mourns Death of College Basketball Legend Denny Crum

Basketball fans across Kentucky learned some sad news on Tuesday, as legendary University of Louisville coach Denny Crum passed away. He was 86 years old.

Crum led the Cardinals to six Final Four appearances and won two NCAA championships in 1980 and 1986. Before that, he was an assistant under John Wooden at UCLA, where he was present for three national titles. He is a 1994 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Crum and former University of Kentucky head coach Joe B. Hall hosted a sports talk show that was syndicated across the commonwealth from 2004-2014.
