For a moment, there was potential that former Entourage actor Jerry Ferrara could have been the one to succeed Craig Carton at WFAN.
That obviously didn’t turn out to be the case, as the station this week announced that Tiki Barber would be joining Evan Roberts for afternoon drive starting July 24.
But last week when a report surfaced indicating that Barber was going to be the guy, Ferrara tweeted that he and the Audacy-owned station had conversations about the opportunity.
Ferrara had filled in hosting for Carton before, and Craig thought Jerry and Evan had good chemistry on the air together. But ultimately Ferrara admitted he probably wasn’t the best fit for the job.
Carton’s final show at WFAN will be next Friday.
