CNN Tabs Matthew Hilk as Head of Domestic Newsgathering

CNN has elevated Matthew Hilk to head of domestic newsgathering for the cable news outlet.

Hilk was previously the network’s Vice President of News and was the managing editor of CNN. He originally joined CNN as a senior broadcast producer for The Lead with Jake Tapper after working as the news director at local TV affiliates in Nashville, Pittsburgh, and Birmingham.

The new was first revealed by Puck News’ Dylan Byers.
