MSNBC host Joe Scarborough continues to share his displeasure with Fox News, without calling them out by name, for its coverage of Donald Trump’s latest indictment.
On Morning Joe Thursday, Scarborough shared his belief that the cable outlet is willing to throw American ideals under the bus in order to support the former President.
“It is amazing to me that these people — Kevin McCarthy and people on another cable news station — spent from Election Day 2020 to January 6th undermining confidence in America’s voting system and American democracy. It’s ended up costing them a billion dollars. It’ll end up probably costing them closer to two billion dollars, but they did that. And they haven’t learned their lesson,” Scarborough said.
“Now, with Donald Trump, it’s like they’re willing to just totally screw America, to trash America for this guy…they’re willing to trash America. They’ve already trashed democracy for that guy. If you listen to people on the other news channels, they’re literally willing to trash America’s judiciary.”
Scarborough’s comments came a day after he criticized Fox News for its involvement in leading Trump supporters to the Capitol on January 6th.
“They lied about it. They knew they were lying. What are they doing now? All of their lies led to January 6th,” Scarborough said of Fox News Wednesday. “That’s why people came and rioted. Because they lied about American democracy.”
