FOX is adding more NFL star power to its pre-pregame show. Julian Edelman has been introduced as the newest panelist on FOX NFL Kickoff.
“We are thrilled to welcome Julian Edelman to the FOX Sports family,” Brad Zager, the network’s President of Production & Operations & Executive Producer of FOX Sports said in a press release. “His passion for the game, experience as a Super Bowl champion, and ability to connect with fans will unquestionably make him a valuable addition to our team, both on and off the screen.”
Edelman is an interesting addition considering the impending arrival of Tom Brady to the FOX Sports family. The two won three Super Bowls together with the New England Patriot.
“Joining FOX Sports is a dream come true,” Edelman said. “I grew up watching the NFL on FOX on Sundays, and now being an analyst for FOX NFL Kickoff feels full circle. Twelve years in this league has given me insight and opinions that I’m eager to share alongside the talented FOX NFL cast and crew.”
This is not Edelman’s first foray into the media. After retiring from the NFL, he spent last season on Inside the NFL.
At FOX, he will work with host Charissa Thompson, fellow analysts Charles Woodson and Michael Vick, and insider Peter Schrager.
FOX NFL Kickoff airs at 11 am and is the lead in to FOX NFL Sunday during the regular season.
