John Kincade One Test Away From Being Declared Cancer-Free

Earlier this year, 97.5 The Fanatic morning host John Kincade was diagnosed with colon cancer. Now, the longtime radio host is nearly ready to declare victory over the disease.

During The John Kincade Show Friday, the Philadelphia host shared the encouraging news that he is nearing the ability to declare himself cancer-free.

“I wanted to share I wanted to share with you today, you people have been so supportive of me. We got really good news yesterday. There are two tests that I need to be declared cancer-free. And I got my blood tests back yesterday, got a call around 4:25… and my Natera blood tests came back, zero for microscopic cancer search within my lymph nodes,” Kincade revealed.

“That’s the one thing I need. And then next week I’ll get a scan. And if that scan is clear next Friday when I disconnect, this little journey will be over. I cannot thank you enough for all the support that I’ve been getting and everything but I still need you to just push me over the finish line. But I wanted to share some good news with you. Half of the battle of the tests is done. And now we’ll find out with the scan next week,” continued Kincade. “I should find out maybe Wednesday or Thursday, and then be able to just connect next Friday.

Kincade originally shared his cancer diagnosis in May, revealing it was the second time he was facing the disease. He initially took a leave of absence from his radio show before returning and hosting as often as he could between chemotherapy treatments.
