Earlier this week, former KNBR host F.P. Santangelo announced that he would be joining 95.7 The Game in a part-time capacity.
Santangelo was a host of KNBR’s longstanding nightly call-in show prior to being laid off. He started his radio career at KNBR before spending several years doing MLB TV commentary, eventually finding his way back to radio.
In an interview with SFGATE, 95.7 The Game Brand Manager Matt Nahigian said Santangelo will provide great insight on all of the Bay Area teams and won’t just be utilized for baseball talk.
“F.P. is a smart guy who’s spent a lot of time here and knows about the other teams and has great perspectives on the other teams,” Nahigian said.
Matt Nahigian added that Santangelo is more than qualified to talk about the nuances of being a pro athlete in a way that will really resonate with The Game’s audience.
“He’s a guy that’s got great perspective about what it’s like behind the scenes in the locker room,” Nahigian said. “How great is that conversation going to be day-of? ‘What skirmishes did you see when you were a player? How did that affect the team?’ I think he relates to the audience extremely well.”
FP all he talks about himself and a bore.
