The Sports Animal, 98.1 FM, in Oklahoma City, has named Matt Ravis as the new host of their 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. slot.
Ravis is filling the void created when Craig Humphreys stepped aside from his role with The Sports Animal in Oklahoma City late last year, after a 31-year sports radio run.
Ravis, who had been a producer and host in addition to his duties handling Oklahoma City Thunder pregame, halftime and postgame, took to X to make the announcement and added he will have Matthew Meyer as part of the show as well.
Ravis also said, via X, that he will continue in his role on Thunder broadcasts, in addition to the new show.
The Sports Animal Program Director, Robert “Cisco” Mueller, said, “First we salute and thank Craig Humphreys, who previously hosted the show and is the reason that the Sports Animal is what it is today.”
About Ravis, Mueller stated, “Matt has been rock-solid in his noon to 4 p.m. producer duties and fill-in spots for several years and brings a passion for covering sports that matter to Oklahomans including the OKC Thunder, college football and more.”
