MSNBC has not been shy about its reluctance to air speeches from Donald Trump live after the Fox News settlement with Dominion Voting Systems. Clay Travis argues that cable news viewers are in for another yearlong smear campaign from the news network.
Travis played a clip of MSNBC anchor Joy Reid comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler during Thursday’s edition of The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show and shared his belief that 2024 will be no different for the cable news giant in its coverage of the former President.
“They’re really gonna run back the ‘Trump is Hitler’, as if it is the hit that they can’t keep playing,” said Travi.s “And I just think it doesn’t resonate, right?”
That’s when co-host Buck Sexton agreed.
“I think they may have exhausted the public’s willingness — other than people who are truly deranged — exhausted the public’s willingness to continue to hear there’s at least a segment of the population that they’re trying to win over for votes. It’s absurd,” Sexton said. “It’s silly, and it’s kind of sad, but it’s also bothersome because the fact that any person could be on a television show in America and say this, and not have universal mockery of it, is a little troubling.”
