The 2024 Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters 2024 Excellence in Broadcasting Awards were recently handed out, and Audacy’s news/talk stations in the state — KDKA, KYW, and 1210 WPHT — brought home the hardware.
Pittsburgh news/talk station KDKA took home three awards, including Outstanding Use of Digital Media, Outstanding Local Radio Newscast, and Outstanding Radio Coverage of a Local Sporting Event.
Philadelphia all-news station KYW also won three honors. The station took home the Judges’ Merit Radio Award, Outstanding Local Radio Newscast, and Outstanding Feature Story/Report.
Finally, 1210 WPHT took home a pair of awards for its conservative talk programs. The station’s morning show — Kayal & Company — and its afternoon offering — The Rich Zeoli Show — were bestowed with the Outstanding Local Radio Personality/Team awards.
In total, Audacy stations in the state won 15 awards.
