Tim Capstraw Celebrates 1,900 Consecutive Brooklyn Nets Broadcasts

Congratulations to Brooklyn Nets color analyst Tim Capstraw, known to most as ‘The Capper,’ who on Sunday called his 1,900th consecutive Brooklyn Nets game. Capstraw joined the Nets radio broadcasts during the 2002-03 NBA season and works games with play-by-play voice Chris Carrino.

“I feel like that I’m the luckiest guy to work with Chris Carrino, I can’t imagine a more talented person, and he is really my best friend because I spend the most time with him,” Capstraw told In The Zone a few years ago when his streak was nearing 1,500 games.

Capstraw attended and later coached at Wagner College. He was first the baseball coach at the age of 23 and then later was the basketball coach for a decade, starting at the age of 28 when he was the youngest head coach in Division I basketball.
