ESPN has announced its bowl game coverage for the 2024-25 college football season. In total, between ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC, there will be 33 bowl games aired over the three weeks from mid-December through the first week of January.
Coverage begins with ESPN Events’ Cricket Celebration Bowl (ABC) as the champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) face off in the National Championship for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which will also be where the postseason concludes.
ABC will air a total of five bowl games including the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl from Yankee Stadium, the Pop-Tarts Bowl from Orlando and the Valero Alamo Bowl from San Antonio all on Saturday, Dec. 28. ABC will also have the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Tuesday Dec. 31.
26 of the games will air on ESPN while 2 will be carried by ESPN2.
The College Football Playoff schedule was announced earlier this week and that will see ESPN and ABC simulcast two of the first-round games, with the other two airing on TNT Sports. All four of the quarterfinal games, the semifinals and the National Championship game will be carried by ESPN.
