600 KOGO in San Diego has announced a series of changes to its afternoon lineup, including a new show for Mike Slater.
Slater — who joined the station in 2022 after hosting at sister station San Diego Sports 760 — had previously hosted from 5-8 PM alongside Mark Larson. Now, he’ll host a one-hour show from 3-4 PM. Previously, Lou Penrose hosted from 3-5 PM. He’ll now shift to 4-6 PM.
Mark Larson will now be joined by Leland Conway from 6-8 PM in the San Diego news/talk station’s lineup.
“I am excited about the announcement of this new contract with iHeartMedia and proud to be serving under a great San Diego leadership team,” said Penrose. “Onward and upward for Newsradio 600 KOGO and San Diego … We stand up for our community and its taxpayers, but we do it with a smile and a laugh. If you listen to Conway and Larson, you’ll come away informed and entertained, every time!”
“I’m thrilled about our new afternoon lineup,” said KOGO Program Director Mary Ayala. “It showcases some incredible local talent who are ready to tackle tough San Diego issues head-on in addition to providing listeners with insights and perspectives on national news and politics as we navigate this crucial election year.”
