Freddie Coleman has hit a milestone that few hit at the same place of employment these days. The ESPN Radio host is celebrating 20 years with the company he started at in 2004.
Coleman currently hosts Freddie and Harry along with Harry Douglas Monday through Friday from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. ET.
This morning on Unsportsmanlike with Evan, Canty and Michelle with Evan Cohen, Chris Canty and Michelle Smallmon they talked about the anniversary and gave some thoughts on their colleague.
After a producer said, “I want to just give a shoutout to our friend Freddie Coleman, today is his 20th year anniversary on ESPN Radio,” Evan Cohen said, “Freddie Coleman, the kind of person that you want your kids to be like. He is a self-made success and a wonderful, kind gentleman, so happy anniversary to the one and the only Freddie Coleman.”
“Cheers to 20 years Freddie,” said Smallmon. “Well, cheers to 20 more because that’s how long you are going to be here. You are the best of us.”
Coleman, who played college football at Mansfield University, started out as the co-host of GameNight and was a part of that show until 2013. He would later team up with Ian Fitsimmons for Freddie and Fitzsimmons, a show they did together for seven years. Coleman has also hosted NFL on ESPN Radio and makes appearances on First Take.
“I have been blessed beyond compare to have been with ESPN Radio…,” said Coleman when he signed his last contract extension in 2020. “To continue to keep loving what I do and doing what I love at ESPN Radio is something that I never take for granted.”
