WDBO News Director and afternoon host Joe Kelley has announced he has exited the Orlando news/talk station.
Kelley spent nearly 20 years at the Cox Media Group-owned station but departs as part of wider job cuts from the company.
“Nothing lasts forever. I have spent the last 19 years of my career working for Cox Media Group. But that ended today,” Kelley said in a message published on Facebook. “I can honestly say that CMG has been the best part of my 41-year career. I walk away with marketable skills, good friends, and countless contacts. Shed no tears for me. I’m blessed beyond words. If you ever get a job offer from CMG, take it. You won’t regret it.”
Kelley had hosted The Joe Kelley Show in the 5-7 PM timeslot on the WDBO. The show was bookended by The Sean Hannity Show in the station’s lineup.
