Steak Shapiro Signs Multi-Year Extension to Remain on 92.9 The Game

"This is the most fun I have ever had in radio and can't wait for the fastest two hours in radio to continue for the next several years."

92.9 The Game mid-morning host Steak Shapiro has announced he has signed a contract extension with Audacy and 92.9 The Game in Atlanta. Shapiro hosts The Steak House on weekday mornings with a rotating case including Sandra Golden, Drew Butler and Rusty Mansell.

“Thrilled to announce the signing today of a brand new 3-year deal for The Steak House with 92.9 The Game and Audacy,” Shapiro posted on his X account. “Thanks to all the listeners and my fellow co-hosts for helping make this happen. This is the most fun I have ever had in radio and can’t wait for the fastest two hours in radio to continue for the next several years.”

Shapiro thanked everybody associated with the show and also posted a special thank you to 92.9 The Game Brand Manager Mike Conti.

“Thanks also to Mike Conti for letting me do the show I always wanted to do and being the perfect manager to allow creativity in the format,” Shapiro said. “Sports is the thread, but he loves the food talk, business, Atlanta, music and pop culture insights that make our show special.”

Shapiro took questions from people on social media after making the announcement and one person asked about the status of the rest of the hosts on the show. Shapiro answered, “I will let them answer their status, but I have never been around a more stacked team than this one.”

Shapiro has hosted sports talk in Atlanta for almost three decades. For 17 years he was a part-owner and host with Big League Broadcasting and 790 The Zone.
