This past weekend, which saw the opening weekend of the NFL, college football, US Open Tennis, the start of Fantasy Football and more, led to ESPN Digital having its best weekend ever with a reported 82.2 million unique fans across both days.
On Saturday, September 7, the ESPN App set an all-time single-day mark with 15.7 million unique users, which was up 12% year over year. The ESPN Fantasy APP drew 7.1 million unique visitors, which is up 29% year over year. The day was also ESPN Digital’s third best day ever with 40.5 million unique visitors.
Sunday was ESPN Digital’s best day ever with 41.7 million unique visitors, a 5% increase year over year. The ESPN Fantasy App also set a new record that day, with 11 million unique visitors, an increase of 7% year over year.
The weekend follows ESPN Digital’s 29th consecutive month as No. 1 in the U.S. Sports category in July with 102.3 million unique visitors.
