Longtime CNBC correspondent Jane Wells has announced she is retiring from the business network.
Wells came to CNBC in 1996 providing special coverage of the O.J. Simpson civil case. Before joining the financial network, she worked at Fox News, and in local TV for stations in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Albuquerque. She has also contributed to international reports for CNN.
“How often does someone last 40+ years on camera? Especially a woman? I’ve been incredibly lucky,” Wells wrote in a post on social media. “As I officially retire from CNBC (and all TV), I’m forever grateful to the photogs, editors, producers & truck ops who bailed me out.”
During her career, Wells won numerous awards, including a Peabody Award, a duPont Award, a Los Angeles Emmy Award, three Florida Emmy Awards, and numerous other honors and accolades.
