As 77 WABC morning show host Sid Rosenberg gets set to return to Israel for a series of broadcasts, station owner John Catsimatidis knows the danger the host is putting himself in.
Rosenberg will host his morning show from Monday, October 7th through Thursday, October 10th from Israel in commemoration of the October 7th terrorist attacks that took place in 2023.
He revealed on Monday that his first show from the country next week will be at a bomb shelter in an army base near Gaza, while adding that many have asked him to reconsider his trip. While John Catsimatidis isn’t in the group asking him to not go, he does understand the danger in which his morning show host will find himself.
“When Sid came to us, we didn’t hesitate,” said Catsimatidis, owner of Red Apple Media and WABC Radio. “Sid is passionate about the attacks on Israel, and, make no mistake, he is putting himself in danger to bring the truth of what’s going on in the Middle East to our listeners.”
The trip to Israel is the second one made by Sid Rosenberg, who went to the country in January to share stories of what is happening as the Israeli/Hamas conflict continues. Joining him on 77 WABC will be actor and comedian Michael Rappaport, who will be on the air with the New York news/talk host on Tuesday, October 8th and Wednesday, October 9th.
