Grand Ole Opry Gearing Up For Its 99th Birthday Celebration

The Grand Ole Opry is preparing for its 99th birthday bash, which will include three evenings of Opry performances and special daytime and evening events from October 10 to 13.

The Grand Ole Opry is preparing for its 99th birthday bash, which will include three evenings of Opry performances and special daytime and evening events from October 10th to 13th.

Country music stars, including Opry members Dailey & Vincent, The Gatlin Brothers, Crystal Gayle, Lorrie Morgan, and Rhonda Vincent, along with Riley Green, Chapel Hart, Gretchen Wilson, and the Opry debut of singer/actress Katharine McPhee, will be performing to celebrate the occasion.

Fans can join the celebration on the Opry Plaza for live music and family-friendly activities. The festivities will occur on Friday evening, October 11, and continue throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, October 12th -13th.

During the weekend, there will be a ticketed Karaoke Fundraiser with Chapel Hart in Studio A on Friday night after the Opry show. The event aims to support the Opry Trust Fund, which provides financial assistance to those in the Country music industry during times of crisis or emergency.

Rhett Akins Birthday Tailgate Party is set to take place in Studio A on Saturday at 2 p.m. Attendees can look forward to the singer/songwriter performing a selection of his No. 1 hits and fan-favorite Country classics. The celebration will include birthday cake and participation in the Opry’s 99th birthday festivities.

The Opry will wrap up its 99th Birthday Week celebration on Sunday (10/13) with the third annual Opry Community Day. Tennessee residents are invited to take advantage of a complimentary backstage tour of the Opry.
