Rosenberg is broadcast from different locations around the nation this week to commemorate the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks that took place in 2023.

Colleague Curtis Sliwa helmed the first half hour of Rosenberg’s first show from the country as the New York news/talk host was moved to a more secure location.

When he finally took the airwaves, he shared the process in which he underwent to get on the air.

“We come live to you this morning from a little radio station in a place called Sderot, one of the communities that was absolutely devastate last October 7th,” Rosenberg shared. “We had a lot of technical difficulties. And we went through about three or four different offices to get this thing going. They finally raced us down the block or running in the streets, holding equipment. And I have to tell you this literally moments before all this — I’m not exaggerating — there were five very loud explosions which led to a lot of the young ladies yelling and screaming, some crying and grabbing me and Justin. Literally (yelling) ‘Sid, get in here.’ We went into a bomb shelter.

“Five bombs right overhead, exploded. It was scary … the issue was though we heard the explosions first, then the sirens.”

Sid Rosenberg continued to host his 77 WABC show like normal for the duration of the broadcast. He remains on the air from locations throughout Israel through Thursday before returning to New York.
