Villeta Podrumedic exits the 101.9 The Mix Chicago morning show as part of budget cuts at the Hubbard cluster. She had been with the station for the past six years.
Podrumedic joined the show in 2019 as a producer and traffic reporter. She progressed to Social Media Manager and co-host. Before this, she had similar capacities at News/Talk 720 WGN.
She addressed her listeners in a social media video posted from her car while listening to the show. “I will keep everyone posted with updates. I know this is change, and change can be somewhat difficult, but I’m excited. I appreciate all my time at The Mix and everyone there. Thank you, thank you so much. Um, stay tuned. I don’t have a better radio tease at the moment but stay tuned. Thank you guys so much for all of your love and support. I miss you greatly.”
