Warner Bros. Discovery and TNT Sports announced the addition of former NBA star Vince Carter to its team of NBA analysts. Carter will have what the network is calling a “new and expanded role” working as part of The NBA on TNT Tuesday broadcasts. The soon-to-be hall of famer will work with Shaquille O’Neal, Candace Parker and Adam Lefkoe. He is set to begin on Thursday Oct. 17.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to expand my role with the TNT Sports family,” said Carter in a release. “Top notch people, top notch productions, top notch coverage of the NBA…I appreciate the Tuesday night crew, Shaq, Candace & Adam saving a seat for me, honored to be a part of it, we are going to have some fun this season.”
Carter will also be featured regularly on NBA TV throughout the 2024-25 NBA season. Last season, Carter contributed as a guest analyst on TNT and NBA TV for select nights.
“Vince is a Hall of Fame talent who has delivered some of the most iconic moments in the history of the game,” said Craig Barry, Chief Content Officer, TNT Sports. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to TNT Sports in this expanded capacity and congratulate him on his well-deserved Hall of Fame enshrinement.”
Carter played a record-setting 21 seasons in the NBA, totaling eight NBA All-Star selections after being selected fifth overall in the 1998 NBA Draft. He was named the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year as a member of the Toronto Raptors.
