ABC News Sunday political affairs show This Week with George Stephanopoulos continues to lead Meet the Press and Face the Nation in overall viewers.
On Sunday, October 6th, the Stephanopoulos-led show saw a total audience of 2.294 million viewers. That topped Face the Nation — hosted by Margaret Brennan — which featured 2.278 million viewers. Meet the Press — moderated by Kristen Welker — averaged 2.12 million viewers.
In the Adults 25-54 demographic, the CBS News program anchored by Brennan led 408,000 viewers. It narrowly defeated the NBC News program led by Welker which averaged 406,000 viewers. The show hosted by George Stephanopoulos finished with an average audience of 316,000.
In recent weeks, Meet the Press had topped the key demo ratings. The growth of Face the Nation comes after Margaret Brennan co-moderated the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate earlier this month. That special program was watched by more than 40 million viewers.
Fox News Sunday — anchored by Shannon Bream — averaged just over 1.1 million viewers, and featured 256,000 in the Adults 25-54 demographic.
