Urban One Names Eddie Harrell Jr. And Deon Levingston Co-Presidents Of Audio Division

Urban One has announced that Eddie Harrell Jr. and Deon Levingston have been promoted to co-presidents of Urban One’s Audio Division.

As reported previously, Radio One and Reach Media CEO David Kantor will retire at the end of the year. Kantor has been with Urban One since 2004, overseeing 57 stations across 13 markets. Reach Media’s syndicated programs have also been under his supervision.

With Kantor departing, Urban One is promoting Eddie Harrell Jr. and Deon Levingston to co-presidents of its Audio Division. Based in Cleveland, Harrell joined Urban One in 2011 as VP/General Manager for the Columbus properties. He later transitioned to Cleveland, where he took on the responsibilities of Regional Vice President, managing the Cleveland and Cincinnati markets.

Levingston has been serving as the Regional Vice President and General Manager in Indianapolis since 2016. His experience includes previous positions as General Manager, President, and SVP/Market Manager with YMF Media and Emmis Communications in New York from 2004 to 2016. He was also at Radio One Indianapolis, where he held various titles, including Local Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and Market Manager, from 1998 to 2004.
